Let’s make tracks while raising money and building our community!

Why do we Move-A-Thon?

  • Because it is FUN! Students, staff and families have a chance to get together for the good of our school!

  • This is the last chance to fundraise for the PTA Annual Fund so we can continue to provide classroom aides and programs not fully funded by the district or state.

  • The Raise the Paw in the fall is our anchor fundraising event; student and family participation is always great! But we have a long way to go to meet our budget needs for the 2026-27 school year.

How do we raise money?

  • Every student is asked to set a fundraising goal of $100.

  • Donations are not tied to laps walked – they are flat donations prior to event in support of the student/school.

Quick Facts:

  • Every student will receive a Walk-A-Thon t-shirt to wear at the event.

  • All students can participate as the event will take place during the school day.

  • Students will be dismissed for the day at the normal time.

COMMUNITY SPONSORS - WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

How can local business support the Move A Thon?

The Clyde Hill Elementary Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to
enhancing the educational experience for all students at Clyde Hill. We work to support our school by providing
enrichment opportunities and building a strong school community which brings together parents, teachers, students,
and local businesses such as yours.

Why We Need Your Support

Our schools are continually being asked to do more with less. Many of the programs and supports families remember
from their own school experience are no longer fully funded. At Clyde Hill Elementary, the PTA helps fill those gaps so
our students continue to have the opportunities, resources, and support they need to thrive.
With over 600 students from diverse economic backgrounds, our school community relies on PTA fundraising to
provide many of the extras that make a meaningful difference in a child’s education and daily experience at school. As
district support continues to shrink, the PTA is increasingly called on to fund things that were once standard parts of
public education — including field trips, classroom enrichment, learning materials, student activities, and additional
classroom support.
Our annual Walk-A-Thon is one of our biggest fundraising and community-building events of the year. Students walk
and run laps to raise money for the school. This year’s event will take place on Friday, June 5th.
Funds raised through the Walk-A-Thon help support programs and resources such as:

  • Field trips and educational enrichment opportunities

  • Classroom supplies

  • Headphones and technology tools for independent learning

  • Reading, math, and ELL learning resources

  • Classroom and school-wide activities that build community and connection

  • School wide events such as Bingo Night, Trunk or Treat, Science Fair, Heritage Festival, and more

  • Additional classroom and general school support that helps students receive more individualized attention.

To help ensure these important programs and experiences continue for our students, we are asking for your support by
becoming a Walk-A-Thon sponsor.
