Student Challenge Each month students will have the opportunity to solve a fun math problem at home. There are separate problems each month for grades K-2 and grades 3-5.
To help encourage greater participation there will be a drawing each month to award a prize to two students with the correct answer – one for K-2 and one for grades 3-5. There will also be a math oriented game awarded to the classroom with the greatest participation each month.
Back in Black (& White) The October experiment in all electronic distribution of the math challenge resulted in low participation. For the remainder of the year we will return to distributing hardcopy in the classrooms. You can always download a copy of the challenge for each month following the link on this site.
Completed challenges should be returned to the office by the last day of the month. Alternatively, you can scan and email completed challenges to chmathchallenge@comcast.net.
