Volunteers

After School Activities Committee: Evaluate potential programs for inclusion in Clyde Hill’s activity program or monitor ongoing programs for improvement. Handle administrative duties for enrollment or ensure proper supervision at drop-off and pickup. Various roles available.  Contact Darryl Russinovich(drussinovich@yahoo.com)

 

Assemblies: Help plan the school-wide assemblies, contacting and hosting assembly presenters and entertainers. Contact or Grace Zubia (gzaisenberg@yahoo.com)

 

Emergency Preparedness: Help with organizing supplies and plans necessary in case of emergency.

 

Health Clinic: Sign up for a weekly or monthly time slot to provide comfort and minor first aid to children. Contact parents and administer prescription medication as necessary. Contact Melissa Campbell (keedmane@hotmail.com)

 

Library: Sign up for a time slot to help a visiting class. Help with check out and restocking. Contact Elizabeth Campbell (ecamp99@comcast.net)

 

PALS (lunch recess program):  Volunteers run organized games such as lap club and jump-rope to keep kids busy during the long lunch recess.  Sign up for a weekly, bi-monthly or monthly spot. Contact Anne Marie Brandes (ambrandes@aol.com)

 

Room Parent: Every classroom needs a room parent or two, or even a room parent committee. Work with the teacher on classroom parties, a volunteer schedule and other class-related items that come up during the year. Be the communication link between the teacher and parents on non-curriculum related items. Help coordinate a class project for the auction. Contact Leslie Feller (lesliefeller@comcast.net)

 

Volunteer-at-large: Cover a library shift as needed, fill in at Walkathon, set up for the auction. Your name will be added to a list of people who can be called in a pinch.

Wrapping Paper Fundraiser : Collect forms, distribute purchases for our Winter Fundraiser.  Contact  Jolie Hellings (joliel@microsoft.com)

 

BSF (Bellevue School Foundation) Phonathon (October): Man the phones at this annual fundraiser.

 

Book Fair (November): Set up, restock, or work the register (training provided). Contact Mishele Sullivan (dmkpq@comcast.net)

 

School Auction (March): As our largest annual fundraiser, many hands are needed to run this event. There are several committees including procurement (item donation), decorations, guest relations, underwriting and catalog.

 

Young Scientist Week (January): Plan, organize and coordinate the Young Scientist Week activities.  Lots of activities and events related to the week.  Contact us at YSW@clydehillpta.org.

 

Heritage Potluck (April): Help celebrate Clyde Hill’s diversity during our annual potluck.  Contact Stephanie December (sdecember@comcast.net)

 

Staff Appreciation Week (May): During this week, parents and students acknowledge all the hard work our teachers and staff put forth on behalf of our children. Contact Lori Broznowski (ltbroznowski@yahoo.com)

 

Fun Day (June): Run a game, paint faces or serve cool drinks for this all-school event. Contact Stephanie Dash (colbyd2001@aol.com)

 

Several of our programs require parent support from the families who use them in order to be successful. Many after-school activities, grade level events, the Studio East production and the ski bus will also be asking for volunteers in order to successfully offer these programs.
